Iranian top general warns enemies against violating the country’s airspace

Iran’s Chief of Staff Mohammad Hossein Bagheri warned enemies against violating Iran’s airspace, stating that the cost will be heavy. Iran’s air defense systems have seen fivefold improvements, strengthening radars, detection, and interception technologies.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, has warned that any hostile move against the Islamic Republic, including violations of Iran’s airspace, will result in severe consequences for enemy forces.

Bagheri made these remarks after a high-profile meeting with air defense units in Tehran on Monday.

“The ill-wishers of the Iranian nation and enemies should know that any violation of our country’s airspace will inflict significant harms on them, and will expose them to costs that are definitely much higher than the results they may expect,” Iran’s highest-ranking military commander stated.

Bagheri underscored the dramatic progress in Iran’s air defense capabilities over the past year.

‘Fivefold increase’ in air defense systems

The general emphasized that certain Air Defense units have seen a fivefold increase in their radars, monitoring systems, and detection devices compared to the previous year.

He further stated that Iran’s fire control systems, interception capabilities, and aerial target detonation technologies have improved by two to three times in some cases.

Bagheri assured that Iran’s airspace is constantly monitored, and the Armed Forces are fully prepared to counter any act of aggression.

Iran’s military readiness

The Chief of Staff highlighted that Iranian Air Defense units control the country’s airspace 24/7, continuously training through regular drills to prepare for potential scenarios.

He also noted that investment in fortifying Iran’s Air Defense has significantly increased in recent years.

Iranian officials affirm that the Islamic Republic remains committed to strengthening its military capabilities, including missile defense systems, solely for national defense purposes.
